For another of my semester 1 subjects, I have had to create a maths webquest. I really enjoyed creating the webquest and felt quite satisfied with the results. There is always room for improvement though... so my intention is to edit my webquest once I have more time available. One of the links to an activity requires Scootle access. I intend to find an alternative activity to replace this one.
Questgarden was used to create my webquest. I would be happy to recommend it.
I showed my webquest to a teacher while I was on prac. He was very generous with his praise and believed that it would be usable in a real context. If I have the opportunity, I will use it in my class.
I would be happy for any feedback....
The webquest can be found by clicking Bird House Maths. My webquest involves revising the concept of 3D shapes and learning about perimeter at a Year 5 level.
Mrs V Learns also believes webquests are worth exploring. Read her post about some of the benefits of using them in the classroom.
